Hello! My name is Daniel, and I'm a Junior studying Mathematics at Georgetown University. I'm currently taking PhD-level courses in Probability and Analysis alongside graduate-level Statistics, Biostatistics, and Topology. I hope to pursue a PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics to contribute to medical innovation.

When I was younger, a PhD student tutored me in math for over five years. His explanations didn't just help me solve problems but also helped me understand them, and that's when I fell in love with the beauty and elegance of mathematics. His efforts are the reasons I want to tutor, and I hope to inspire my student in similar fashion as my own tutor did to me.
My approach is simple: build from the definition, develop intuition, walk through examples, then apply the concepts rigorously. Once you truly understand the "why," everything else falls into place, and math stops feeling difficult and pleasantly easy actually.
I've been tutoring for about two years, initially through referrals from my own tutor. I'm comfortable teaching High School Math (AP Calculus, AP Statistics, IB SL/HL), as well as University-level courses including Analysis, Linear Algebra, and beyond, even for fellow math majors. I also served as an undergraduate TA for an Object-Oriented Programming course, helping students with weekly problem sets and assignments in Java.
A bit about my background: I scored 800 on SAT Math, earned 10 scores of 5 across 12 AP exams, and am an awardee of the highly competitive Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme. In University, I've received a grade of A- or above in all of my Math courses, and an A in Analysis and Linear Algebra.
I'd love to help you not just pass your exams, but genuinely enjoy the subject. Let's work together!
