In addition to my own academic writing, I frequently help other students revise essays and improve their writing. This includes working one-on-one with classmates and peers to review drafts, strengthen thesis statements, reorganize arguments, and improve clarity. Most of the students I work with are high school or college students who are writing analytical essays, history papers, or college application essays. My approach focuses on helping students understand why certain changes improve their writing rather than simply correcting grammar. I guide students through the process of developing a strong argument, integrating evidence effectively, and structuring their essays so their ideas are clear and persuasive.
When working with students, I aim to make the writing process less intimidating and more structured. I help students break essays into manageable steps such as brainstorming ideas, developing a thesis, organizing paragraphs, and refining language. My goal is not only to help students produce a stronger final essay but also to help them build writing skills they can apply to future assignments and exams.
