I have 8+ years of teaching experience and a passion for supporting students in achieving their academic goals. I graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Virginia School of Engineering. I scored in the 97th percentile on the MCAT (99th on the physics/chemistry portion), was a National Merit Scholar, scored an 800 on the math subject SAT, scored a 1500 on the SAT (800 on math), and was an AP Scholar with Distinction.
I taught K-12 math, including SAT prep, for 6 years part-time. I worked through an institution that allowed me to design customized lesson plans and tackle challenging topics with students. Also, I served as a teaching assistant for rigorous biomedical engineering courses requiring a strong grasp of applied mathematics. I tutored part-time through volunteer organizations for 2 years as well. I am well-versed in many levels of math and am excited to help you or your student navigate your courses!
