I’m a creative educator and youth development specialist with more than a decade of experience helping students strengthen their academic confidence and curiosity. I hold a master’s degree in Education and currently teach in the School of Business at The George Washington University, where I lead leadership and foundation courses that blend communication, strategy, and self-management skills. My work in education has also spanned after-school programs, out-of-school programs, community initiatives, and youth leadership training across the U.S. and abroad.
Over the years, I’ve worked with elementary, middle school, high school, and college students on a wide range of subjects, including writing, study skills, organization, and public speaking. My tutoring approach is rooted in positive youth development and social-emotional learning - meaning I help students not only master content but also understand how they learn best. I focus on building habits that support independence, curiosity, and confidence so that learning feels meaningful rather than stressful.
In each session, I use real-world examples, creative exercises, and reflective discussion to make concepts click. I believe tutoring should feel collaborative and engaging, not transactional. My students consistently describe my teaching style as patient, encouraging, and energizing - someone who helps them see progress they didn’t know they were capable of. Whether we’re preparing for an essay, tackling study strategies, or developing leadership skills, my goal is the same: to help each student feel capable, supported, and ready to thrive.
