I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor's in Biology and Public Health from Rutgers University and then went on to get my Master's in Public Heath from NYU with a concentration in Epidemiology. My love for teaching began with my little sister, who I've taught numerous subjects to ranging from basic math and reading to science and essay writing. I'm Moumita! I've always been passionate about education and helping others! My love for teaching began with my little sister, who I've taught numerous subjects to ranging from basic math and reading to science and essay writing. Helping her grasp new concepts and watching her grow in confidence sparked my passion for education and inspired me to support other students in the same way.
I continued teaching at Rutgers, where I was a Peer Mental Health Educator, leading workshops on testing anxiety and time management for college students. While in graduate school, I was a classroom assistant supporting second and fourth-grade students in mastering math and literacy concepts, by working closely with small learning groups, providing one-on-one assistance to struggling students, and adapting lesson plans. Furthermore, I was a course assistant for a graduate school biology course, working with over 200 students where I graded assignments, provided constructive feedback, and maintained regular correspondence to address questions and clarify challenging concepts.
