I am passionate about helping young learners build confidence and curiosity across subjects such as math, Spanish, and cooking. I am a native Spanish speaker with full proficiency in English, currently pursuing studies in Lower and Secondary Education at The George Washington University. My background includes a variety of teaching and mentoring experiences, both in the U.S. and abroad, which have allowed me to develop adaptable and engaging teaching methods for children ages 4–13.
I have worked as a camp counselor and teacher assistant at Mine School, where I led cooking sessions and taught students a range of recipes and culinary skills, fostering creativity and teamwork. I also assisted in classroom settings, organizing activities, facilitating student work, and supporting lesson plans. These experiences taught me how to create structured, fun, and interactive learning environments that cater to individual learning styles.
Beyond the classroom, I have participated in educational volunteer projects abroad, including conservation efforts in the Galapagos and environmental education in Belize, which enhanced my skills in guiding and teaching young learners in diverse, hands-on settings. I combine this experience with my love for cooking and problem-solving to help students understand concepts in math and science through practical, real-world applications. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning experience where children feel encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and develop both skills and confidence.
