I graduated from the Honors Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, and Distinction in the Major, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Currently, I am pursuing my M.D. at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Over the years, I have cultivated a strong academic foundation in the sciences while also developing effective study and test-taking strategies that I enjoy sharing with students. I began tutoring as early as high school and have since worked with K–12, college, and adult students across a wide range of subjects, from foundational math and science to advanced coursework. In addition, I have extensive experience with standardized test preparation, particularly the MCAT, which I studied for and successfully completed in preparation for medical school. These experiences have given me both the subject expertise and the empathy needed to help students succeed in challenging areas.
My tutoring approach is highly individualized and I believe every student learns best when lessons are tailored to their unique strengths and learning style. I take the time to understand how each student processes information and then create lesson plans that are not only effective but also engaging and confidence-building. Whether breaking down complex concepts into simple, approachable steps or providing practice strategies to boost exam performance, my goal is always to help students feel supported and empowered in their learning journey. I strive to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and academic independence so that students can carry these skills beyond our sessions and into their future studies.
