Hi! I’m Safiyah, and I’m excited to help students grow in subjects like Spanish, biology, biochemistry, and SAT reading and writing. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Spanish and Political Science. During college, I was awarded the Eugene McDermott Scholarship and participated in the Bill Archer Fellowship, spending time in Washington, D.C., working on public policy. After graduation, I worked for two years as a federal strategic consultant, and I’ll be starting law school at the University of Chicago in 2025. I was also selected as a member of the SEO Law Fellowship, a highly competitive pre-law program. Over the past two years, I’ve tutored high school and undergraduate students, helping them succeed in one-on-one and small-group settings.
My tutoring approach is student-centered and tailored to each learner’s goals. I like to begin with an initial call or diagnostic session to assess a student’s strengths and areas for growth, set clear learning objectives, and create a structured plan. During sessions, I use guided exercises, frequent check-ins, and step-by-step explanations to help students build confidence and mastery of the material. Whether it’s improving reading comprehension for the SAT, strengthening Spanish language skills, or learning foundational biology and biochemistry concepts, my goal is to make learning engaging, effective, and personalized. I encourage students to reach out so we can schedule an initial call to discuss your goals and see how I can best support your academic growth.
If you’re interested, feel free to reach out so we can schedule an initial call—I’d love to get to know you and see how I can best support your goals!
