My own coursework ranged from AP U.S. History, AP World History, and AP Human Geography to Spanish Language and Literature, so I understand how to meet College Board standards while keeping the material interesting. I also spent a year working full-time as an assistant teacher in a special-needs school, where clear instructions and steady encouragement were part of every lesson.

I also spent a year working full-time as an assistant teacher in a special-needs school, where clear instructions and steady encouragement were part of every lesson.
Today I work with students from upper-elementary through high school. Typical sessions include outlining essays, polishing thesis statements, reviewing timeline facts for an AP history test, or walking through Algebra I and II problem sets. Younger learners might focus on reading comprehension, basic math skills, or conversational Spanish. Meetings can be online or in person near Dupont Circle. Let me know what you want to improve and a couple of good time slots, and we will set up the first lesson.
