Bio

I am currently employed with MCPS as a Substitute Teacher and I am also an RN in Pediatrics. I have 9 grandchildren and enjoy helping them with their learning and schoolwork. I swam and taught and coached swimming for 37 years. My passion is teaching at school or the Peds office or the pool.

I exclusively substituted at the MCPS Elementary school level from 3/2022 to 10/2023 and have now moved to the HS level. The subjects are Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Music and Art and Math. I have subbed in Physics Ed and ESOL.

I have substituted in many Reading classrooms at all levels. I understand that reading, comprehension,writing and summarizing can be stressful. As a Language major and Registered Nurse I am well studied and tested and have had to conquer the same obstacles in order to communicate effectively.
