Hello, I’m Amanda! I always knew I wanted to be an Architect. It’s certainly a challenging field to be in, but it’s quite worth it! I earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Catholic University of America, right here in DC, graduating magna cum laude. I went on to pursue a much different experience afterwards. I moved to a small land grant town to earn a Master of Architecture from Clemson University in South Carolina, graduating with honors again! Since graduation, I entered the profession, primarily focusing on Healthcare and laboratories. It’s certainly a challenging focus but I wouldn’t change a thing. Becoming a subject matter expert in the field of architecture in healthcare set me up for early success. It prepared me for rapid success in pursuing licensure. I have been a practicing and licensed architect for over 10 years now, working on diverse experience across the various healthcare and laboratory typologies. Each unique project comes with sharping a wide range of foundational, technical, creative problem-solving, and mentoring skills, to name a few. Beyond my own practice, I am passionate about supporting others in the profession — whether they're just starting out or looking to refine their skills. I believe in sharing knowledge, mentoring, and helping others grow into their best professional selves. I’ve mentored and tutored for 10 years within the profession, and for another 5 years outside of the profession with after school programs. I’m able to provide support for things as minor as program troubleshooting, to students pursuing their degrees, to young professionals pursuing licensure, and anything in between. I’m available virtually and in person. I look forward to meeting you!
