I am currently a law student at New York University. I was a volunteer tutor at Georgetown, where I helped students of many levels improve their French. As a tutor, I learned that I love helping other people to learn about the subjects about which I am passionate, which include the four languages I speak, writing, and the law.

She's wicked sharp and so good at explaining!
I had my first session with Ollie today. I've been learning French through Duolingo, but there are so many bits they don't really teach you and you are supposed to intuit. I had hoped that I could get someone to explain some of the structure around French grammar and declination. I'm very out of practice from schooling, so it's all like-new to me, but she does it with such ease and thoroughness, and she's great at finding visuals and using the board to support what she's teaching. I really enjoyed the hour and am scheduling another.

Fantastic command of the language and very patient with me
I am a beginner in French, and wanted to learn rules about conjugation and how masculine/feminine are used. Ollie knows French as though it were her first language. She was both patient with me and friendly as she navigated me through concepts underlying conjugation. She pulled up charts to show me certain rules/relationships on subject pronouns and conjugating regular verbs. She would then write sentences to show how these rules are used. I found Ollie to be wonderfully helpful, and am energized to continue my quest to learn a new language. I look forward to working with Ollie again (and again).
