As they journeyed through the halls of elementary through high school, I was always an honor scholar. Whether it was acing exams, passionately participating in class discussions, or diligently completing assignments, I showcased a relentless pursuit of excellence and a willingness to learn new information that set them apart from their peers.

It was during my high school tenure I begin to share my knowledge with classmates who struggled through after school tutoring or serving as a teacher's aide. I soon realized the profound joy that comes from helping others comprehend complex subjects. This revelation sparked a fire within my heart—a passion for tutoring and mentoring.

Upon graduating high school, I continued to embrace this newfound calling and channeled their energy into becoming an educational major in college focusing on agriculture Being in agriculture allowed me to have hands-on experiences that made it easier to connect with and inspire young minds beyond the confines of a classroom. It was then that fate led them to the realm of high school teens. Upon graduating I moved to DC and begin a career with USDA Civil Rights Office but my passion for teaching and mentorship never wavered. In my role I became a program manager for the scholarship and internship programs as well as outreach coordinator partnering with local area middle and high schools educating students on the value of agriculture in everyday life.

I also discovered a love for coaching basketball—a sport that brought together their passion for teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. As a coach, I not only taught the game's strategies and skills but also imparted invaluable life lessons that extended far beyond the court. I became a trusted confidant, instilling in their players the importance of resilience, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
