My name is Naman and I am a medical student! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biochemistry from CSUF! I served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for 7 semesters during my time at CSUF, where I led sessions in general and organic chemistry to help college students with the content. I gained great experience creating engaging lesson plans that provided practice for topics students struggle with, delivering detailed explanations and practice to help students improve their comprehension of course material. Students that attended my sessions averaged 20% better in their classes than those who did not, and I won the award for Outstanding Chemistry SI Leader in 2022 for my work.

Teaching content in a fun and enjoyable manner is incredibly important to me. Chemistry is incredibly dynamic, but the content comes together like a puzzle when approached from the proper lens. I love incorporating games and real-life analogies into the lesson plans to help my students truly understand the content. I have gained great experience adapting to specific student needs through my time as a Supplemental Instruction leader and private tutor, and I strive to make sure that the content is truly understood and not just memorized. I have extensive experience working with students in college and high school. In high school, I took both AP Chemistry and IBHL Chemistry. At CSUF, I have taken and tutored general chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry. Through this, I can relate to all students and really seek to approach learning through example and problem-based learning.

I can provide presentations on content, practice homework, practice quizzes, and practice tests. I seek to work with the students and families to address their specific needs, and I will always respond in a timely manner.
