I'm Liz! I graduated from Salve Regina University with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and graduated from Lesley University with my Master's Degree in Literacy. I am a certified teacher, grades Prekindergarten to Second Grade.

I have been a teacher for 8 years now and have tutored multiple families over the years. My first job before becoming a certified teacher was a Literacy Intern at an elementary school. During this position I worked with students who needed extra support in reading. Then I received a full time teaching job at an elementary school. I have taught in Prekindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade.

I love working with children and helping them succeed. It is great to see when that "light bulb" finally goes on or the "ah ha I got it" moment that happens! I want students to be as successful as possible and using a variety of resources and strategies will accomplish that. I have experience with Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading resources, Words Their Way and Fundations; both phonics programs, teaching sight words, and various other reading strategies. I would love to be your next tutor and help your child be the best they can be!

I have been a certified elementary teacher for 8 years now. I have experience in Prekindergarten-First Grade. I have taught Common Core. I have been a literacy intern. I have experience with Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading. During the COVID 19 pandemic most of my teaching has been virtual utilizing the Zoom, Seesaw and Google platforms.
