I am a certified middle school mathematics teacher with three years of experience teaching both grade-level and accelerated courses. I also have a background in elementary education, which has strengthened my ability to support learners across a wide range of developmental levels.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics for Teaching, along with a minor in Computer Science. Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in mathematics. Through my academic training, I completed a comprehensive range of mathematics coursework, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus I–III, Statistics, and Discrete Structures, along with specialized education courses focused on effective mathematics instruction.
Beyond the classroom, I have extensive tutoring experience with students of various ages and ability levels. I led an after-school tutoring program for 5th-grade students for two years and have spent the past three years tutoring middle and high school students through a weekend volunteer program. I also have experience providing one-on-one tutoring both in person and virtually, including working with college-level students.
I am especially passionate about supporting students who may struggle with mathematics or feel discouraged by it. I strive to present concepts in multiple ways, helping students build understanding, confidence, and a more positive perspective toward math.
