I am a graduate of Duke University (BA Economics) and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University (MBA). In addition, I am also a graduate of St. Johns University (MLIS) and am a CFA Charter holder

I have been teaching and tutoring since 2008, in physical classrooms and board rooms around the world. I have delivered thousand of virtual teaching engagements (one on one, as well as class sizes up to 50 people) and, in person (one-on-one, as well as class sizes up to 150 people). I began my teaching journey and love of teaching in the 1990s as a literacy tutor.

My teaching experience has been in the academic setting (I have been, and continue to be, an adjunct professor of finance at 4 different universities, both at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as a tutor for high school students), internal training programs at financial companies, U.S. regulators, fund managers, fintechs and operating companies, and publicly offered courses. All of these programs have been new hire training programs as well as engagements at different levels of management and seniority, including the C-suite. In addition to the delivery of these classes and engagements, I also typically create the presentation materials and the courses themselves.

My teaching methodology revolves around problem solving and building solutions from a blank page. I constantly challenge my students to ask questions, and I return the favor. As I instruct and engage with my students, I make sure that all of the knowledge accumulated along the way is continuously incorporated into the current lesson and, together, we build all lessons along the application of concepts through the use of quizzes, both impromptu and schedules, as well as problem solving cases and teach backs. The ultimate goal is for my students to know it so well that they can teach it to others.
