Kathy believes that it is very valuable for students of all ages to understand basic mathematics and how it can help them become successful. Her experiences in education, engineering, business and family have provided her with the tools to be a strong educator.

Kathy believes that it is very valuable for students of all ages to understand basic mathematics and how it can help them become successful. Her experiences in education, engineering, business and family have provided her with the tools to be a strong educator.

Kathy has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of business to share with her students. She earned her BS degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. After graduation, Kathy taught junior high school mathematics for two years. She then became a computer engineer and achieved a MSEE degree in Computer Systems Engineering.

For the past five years Kathy has been tutoring children ages 6 and up who need remedial work in Mathematics. In addition to helpings students prepare for the SAT and ACT, Kathy has taught SAT Prep classes in mathematics.

Kathy is committed to the academic growth of her students, and to help them reach their full potential.

Math Qualifications I have a BS in Secondary Ed Mathematics. I taught Jr. High Math for two years when I first graduated college. I then went on to received a Masters in Computer Engineering and enjoyed a career in High Tech for over 20 years. After raising my family, I decided that I really enjoy working with students of all ages to help them understand basic mathematics and to help them realized their full potential. For the past two years, I have been tutoring children ages 6 and up who need remedial work in Mathematics for both the Huntington Learning Center (HLC) and the Greenwich Education Group (GED). I have helped students develop the basic core mathematics skills and strategies necessary to do well on the ACT. Once the student has a strong foundation, I have found that the students can improve their ACT test scores considerable. I am committed to the academic growth of my students, and want to help them reach their full potential. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you (and/or your student) to help achieve your goals.

Kathy was very warm and personable - she helped prep for an algebra 2 mid-term, although we only were able to do one session, it was very helpful. We will be booking her to prep for SAT's.

Kathy really has an excellent way of helping my son with learning math. She is so patient and understanding with children. She gets to the core of the problem he has and came up with a plan to help him learn how to solve the problems and gave him tricks to help remember them. I highly recommend her.

We had a great first session with Kathy! She came to help my son prepare for an upcoming geometry midterm, focusing especially on a very complicated circumcenter problem. She was very patient and explained the procedures thoroughly and simply so my son could understand. She also did a great job boosting my son's confidence about the exam. We will definitely use her again and recommend her for math tutoring.
