I'm Cash! I grew up in NYC attending the French Lycee, a French immersion school, and spent four year at University of Toronto for undergraduate studies before transferring to University of Connecticut where I am now. While I did not complete my degree there, I learned a lot of valuable lessons about the various challenges that students face upon starting college. One of the biggest takeaways that I have from that experience is that every student has their own approach to learning, with unique strengths and weaknesses. The key to success, I've found, is to identify these learning habits and frame the course material in a way that is most suitable to them which is what I strive to do in my own studies and will endeavor to do with the students I help.
I've only been formally tutoring for the past year or so, but I've always helped friends and peers with their work since high school. My strength lies especially in helping people with their academic writing, but I've also had some experience helping in math and the sciences at the high school level. My experience so far has been limited to more one-on-one sessions, but these have largely been students with greater needs (ex. ADD, ADHD, dyslexia).
I am very invested the success of the people that I help and am always eager to explore different topics or approaches with students. I try to be as flexible as possible despite my own class schedule and other tutoring engagements and can be reached most quickly by text or email!
