As a Geographer, I am extremely passionate about both people and the environment and the connection between the two. I developed a passion for teaching after two years of experience in teaching physical science/earth science, geography, and GIS at the graduate-level as a teaching assistant. I also have two and a half years of experience teaching environmental science, gardening, and agroforestry to primary school children, women's groups, and individual villagers in Senegal, West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
I have a Masters of Science in Applied Physical Geography which covers the field of Ecology, Elementary Science, and Physical Science and I taught Earth Science for two years in graduate school.
I have 5 years of experience in using Arc GIS in my research as an undergraduate and graduate student, and I taught GIS lab for two years in graduate school.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Human Geography and a Masters of Science in Physical Geography.
Please feel free to reach out to me to schedule lessons. I love to teach, and I love helping students find the most interesting aspects of Geography, Earth Science, Ecology, and GIS.
