I have recently retired from a 32 years teaching career with the New Britain Board of Education, where I served first as a ESL/ Bilingual Education teaching and then as a school counselor for 23 of those years. I loved my work and have a great deal of experience. Although I decided to retire, I miss working with students. I am happy to work on a part time, more flexible basis. I love working with students on an individual basis; and seeing their progress is very rewarding to me.

I am a native Spanish speaker. I am certified to teach Spanish and have experience teaching and tutoring Spanish. I have experience teaching; and I have excellent vocabulary skills in English. I have tutored students in the past with SAT prep in English, as well as taught ESL to Adults.
I have excellent writing and spelling skills and a complete understanding of spelling rules, and origin and definition of words needed to be a good speller.
As a school counselor, one of my responsibilities was to teach studies skills though the development guidance curriculum I introduced in my school.
Should you contact me for tutoring, I promise you that your study skills, ESL, vocabulary, and Spanish will improve exponentially.
