My name is Cameron and I am currently a resident physician in psychiatry based out of Connecticut. I graduated from Tufts Medical School (Boston, MA) with an M.D. in May 2025. I graduated from Brandeis University (Waltham, MA) with a B.S. in biology, neuroscience, and psychology in 2019.

My own love of teaching and tutoring dates back to high school when I served as a teaching assistant for a general chemistry course. Since then, I have continued to foster this interest by teaching and tutoring in a variety of subjects. These experiences have included serving as a teaching assistant for courses at Brandeis University: general chemistry lab (1/2017-7/2017), statistics (8/2017-5/2018), evolution and biodiversity (8/2018-12/2018), and introductory physics lab (8/2018-5/2019). I also served as a tutor for statistics at Brandeis University (1/2018-12/2018). While the subjects that I have helped to teach have varied, what all of these experiences have in common is that they have allowed me to share my love of learning with others.

My tutoring style is centered around the philosophy that everyone has individual learning needs, and a natural curiosity that needs to be encouraged. I scored in the 95th percentile on the MCAT. My score breakdown was: total 517 (95%), chem/phys 131 (99%), CARS 127 (82%), bio/biochem 129 (90%), psych/soc 130 (95%). My current tutoring practice is focused specifically on MCAT prep and helping medical school applicants.

I understand that finding the right fit is important. While I am based in West Hartford, CT, I offer sessions online and can be flexible depending on your time zone. I very much look forward to hearing from you if you think that I may be able to help with your education journey.

Anatomy

Anatomy

I am currently a resident physician and graduated from medical school in May 2025. I also served as a co-instructor for the anatomy course component of the pre-matriculation summer program at Tufts Medical School (7/2022). In addition to my experience with human anatomy, I completed a course in comparative vertebrate anatomy at Brandeis University.
Biology

Biology

I majored in biology at Brandeis University. Coursework included introductory courses in cellular biology and genetics, as well as biology lab courses. I also have experience serving as a teaching assistant for an evolution and biodiversity course.
Chemistry

Chemistry

My own experience with chemistry includes serving as a chemistry TA while in high school, and later serving as a TA for the general chemistry lab course at Brandeis University (1/2017-7/2017). I completed both general chemistry and organic chemistry courses at Brandeis University (with lab), and also took AP Chemistry in high school. Chemistry can be one of the most difficult science courses, but throughout my coursework I developed an organized approach to studying that I am able to share with others.
Grammar

Grammar

I have been interested in grammar since I learned how to read. Since then, I have practiced this skill through writing and proofreading numerous research papers during undergrad. In addition, I have experience proofreading and editing peer-reviewed publications to ensure proper grammar.
MCAT

MCAT

I took the MCAT in August 2019 and scored in the 95th percentile. I dedicated the summer prior to my exam to preparing, and created my own schedule for content review and practice tests. In addition to my experiences teaching and tutoring the sciences, I have worked with medical school applicants in the past to optimize study strategies and exam-taking skills.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I majored in neuroscience at Brandeis University. Coursework included introductory courses in the principles of neuroscience and behavioral neuroscience, as well as more advanced electives focusing on neuronal plasticity and neurogenetics. I also have experience working directly in animal-based neuroscience lab research.
Physics

Physics

As part of the science curriculum at Brandeis University, I completed the introductory physics courses with lab. During my senior year, I was invited to serve as a TA for the lab component of the course (8/2018-5/2019). While physics may seem like a land of endless equations, I believe that it is essential to have a good conceptual understanding to have a solid foundation on which to anchor these equations; and I have enjoyed sharing this approach with others.
Physiology

Physiology

I am currently a resident physician, and as part of the M.D. curriculum completed courses in physiology of the different organ systems. These include: musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal, cardiovascular, reproductive, endocrine, and neurological. In addition, I completed my undergraduate physiology coursework at Brandeis University.
Proofreading

Proofreading

In addition to my experience proofreading and providing feedback on medical school applications, I have experience with scholarly writing and proofreading. I have authored or contributed to over 10 scholarly publications (original journal contributions, book chapters, and conference presentations/abstracts). I pride myself in taking a detailed and organized approach to proofreading, and have consistently adapted my approach to suit different projects.
Psychology

Psychology

I am currently a psychiatry resident and my own interest in psychology and the mind dates back to when I took an AP Psychology course in high school. After high school, I continued to explore this interest by majoring in psychology in undergrad. In addition to the required coursework of research methods and statistics, I completed electives focusing on health psychology and social psychology. I also have direct experience serving as a research assistant in a neuropsychology lab.
Statistics

Statistics

While statistics is certainly a challenging topic, I enjoy the challenge. Since taking a statistics course in undergrad, I have served as both a tutor and TA for the subject. At Brandeis University, I tutored for the undergraduate statistics course (8/2017-5/2018) and tutored for the same course (1/2018-12/2018).
