I have tutored for hundreds of hours over the course of six years to various students in all ranges of topics in math, physics, and computer science. I have been able to help students go from C average to A average in a matter of weeks. And I have been able to help students go from a failing average to a A- in a little over a month. I am an official certified Tutor For Hire for Rochester Institute of Technology and am approved for 31 different classes. I have had 40 meetings with students who signed up through the RIT official website, and most of those meetings turn into follow ups scheduled through email. I am the top requested math tutor at RIT and I plan to help anyone I can out on Wyzant as well.
I have excelled in math ever since I was a little kid, so I have always found new and exciting ways to learn elementary math, most of which I discovered on my own with thought when I was that age. I hope to teach my tips and tricks to the students to help them understand it as I did back then.
I am working on receiving my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computational Mathematics within a total of 4 years (expected to graduate May 2023). I have much experience with grading and TA-ing. I have been grading classes such as Linear Algebra and Differential Equations for 2 years now, and I have been a teaching assistant for Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 for a year now, which includes grading, helping with workshops, office hours, and one-on-one tutoring.
I have a very unique special ability with children with special needs. I myself have ASD and ADHD, which I have overcome to be able to be where I am today. When I was in high school I spent lots of my time tutoring in special education schools for community service, so I have lots of experience with people with specific educational and learning needs.
I have a friendly and approachable attitude that nearly everyone can see right away. I hope to be a positive influence and guide for younger or older students, please check in. Thank you!
