I have seven years of teaching experience at the undergraduate (and graduate) level in teaching the following Accounting courses: Managerial, Financial, Cost, Accounting Information Systems and a few other 'non standard' courses.

Additionally, I have 20 years of professional experience - I'm currently a CFO for a mid size private company. I consider myself an expert in Excel and believe my combination of professional and academic experience has made me a valuable asset to any...

Lastly, being able to disseminate knowledge is something I've done well and would like to continue to give back any knowledge I've accumulated.

I am presently as employed as Controller/CFO, where I have overseen many of the accounting/finance functions. Additionally, for the past eight years, I have been teaching at the university level - specializing in Cost, Managerial and Financial Accounting. I am currently engaged with Southern Connecticut State University, Post University (distance learning) and University of Phoenix (distance learning). I have also taught for the University of New Haven, Quinnipiac University and Central Connecticut State University. I enjoy teaching on many fronts - due mainly to the fact that it allows me to parlay real world examples to the students - in hopes of preparing them for the business community.

I’ve used advanced functions for years: HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, Pivot Tables and other various formulas to enhance the speed of calculation. Ultimately, this leads to better and more presentable reporting. Of note, I'm proficient in Access as well.

QuickBooks

I've worked with QuickBooks as a CFO of a multi location entity. I'm familiar with uploading journal entries, printing/exporting financial statements and in reconciling bank accounts. Additionally, I'm familiar with entering and paying bills. Another area of expertise is that of manipulating the QuickBooks exported data and presenting it to groups of people.
