I am a current college student at the University of Connecticut studying mechanical engineering. I have a strong academic background in Spanish, math, chemistry, and other courses. In high school, I volunteered as a peer tutor and worked individually with other students to help them strengthen their skills, prepare for tests, and build confidence in their classes. Most of my tutoring experience has been one-on-one.
I graduated high school with 10 AP credits, including AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics. I earned high honor roll all four years of high school and received various academic awards within my conference for high achievement. I am also certified bilingual in Spanish with the CT Seal of Biliteracy.
My teaching approach consists of breaking down concepts for students and relating them to concepts the student already has knowledge of. The main goal is to make sure they leave every session feeling more confident than when they started. I have worked with high school students across different levels and I am comfortable supporting learners who need assistance.
