Hello! My name is Amanda and I am have been a middle school math teacher for the past seven years. I taught 7th and 8th grade math during the pandemic, both online and in person. I have my B.A. in Secondary Education & Mathematics. I also have my M.A. in Instructional Technology. I tutored at ECSU for multiple years and have a variety of experiencing tutoring from 5th grade all the way up to adult education. I am passionate about helping students increase both their confidence and skills in math. Through my teaching experience I have also built up toolkit of motivation strategies.

My approach to tutoring is meeting the student at whatever level they currently are at and helping to build both their conceptual understanding of the material as well as their mathematical problem-solving skills. I have worked with students to understand notes they took in class, to complete or review their homework, as well as prepare for upcoming assessments.
