Hi there :) My name is Ky (pronounced like Key), and I’m excited to be your potential tutor! I’ve been tutoring for over five years and I’m just as passionate about it as when I first started. I graduated from Fairfield University in 2022 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. My journey into teaching began in 2019 when I helped a family friend prep for the SAT. Seeing her improvement hooked me on tutoring, and I’ve loved it ever since!
Since then, I’ve worked with students from elementary to college, tutoring subjects like elementary math, algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and SAT prep. My goal is to break things down in a way that makes sense. Whether I’m helping a 3rd grader with arithmetic or prepping a high school senior for their SATs, I love simplifying complex problems and building students’ confidence. I’m especially proud of my long-term relationships with students who’ve been with me since 2020—it’s amazing to watch them grow both academically and personally!
During the school year, I help with homework and review concepts that need extra attention. In the summer, I create personalized lesson plans or help with assignments to prepare for the next year. I also keep learning fun, like using games (such as multiplication bingo) to engage younger students. Plus, I maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on progress. Learning doesn’t have to be stressful—it can be fun and rewarding! If you’re looking for a dedicated and approachable tutor, I’d love to work with you. Don’t hesitate to reach out—I can’t wait to help you succeed!
