As a tutor, I want to instill my love for psychology into my students. In college, I spent a lot of free time tutoring my friends through their introductory psychology courses, and truly enjoyed helping them learn the wonders of the human mind. Psychology can seem daunting at first, but once the basic concepts are understood, a new world opens up and I've seen many confused students become psychology enthusiasts. My specialties are neuroscience, research methodology, and psychological theories, which also happen to be the topics that high school students struggle with the most in their AP course.
I graduated from UConn in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Sciences and a minor in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. I am currently a graduate student at NYU, pursuing my Master's degree in School Counseling. I also work as a high school substitute teacher for Stamford Public Schools (AITE, Westhill, Stamford High). I chose to become a school counselor because it blends my two passions: psychology and education! I am currently taking graduate-level Applied Psychology courses at New York University.
If you have any additional questions for me, please do not hesitate to reach out and let me know. I'm happy to discuss other courses your child is taking, such as women's studies or sociology electives, at no additional cost during our tutoring sessions. Additionally, I am willing to edit papers on all subjects for grammar/spelling mistakes.
