Knowledgeable and patient tutor!
Smita, 24 lessons with TheodoreTed helps my daughter with humanities subjects: Spanish. English, and History. He is a fantastic tutor and helps explain concepts in ways that make it easier for my daughter to understand and remember. We feel lucky that we found him on this platform and that he had availability to take on a new student. Five Stars!!!!
I am a professional translator, private tutor and substitute teacher who has experience working with both children and adults. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut where I majored in Spanish and Judaic Studies, respectively, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I then went on to pursue my master's degree in Translation (Spanish>English) where I graduated with a nearly 4.0 GPA.

Another great lesson
Ted is really great with kids. Patient yet focused. My kids are already learning words and pronouncing letters/vowels. My kids are excited for their lesson each week.

very knowledgeable
Can thoroughly breakdown Spanish, including the nuances of Spanish grammar and syntax. Will highly recommend to anyone of varying levels of Spanish.

Great tutor, very knowledgeable!
I would highly recommend Teddy and have hired him numerous times! He is prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable in Spanish. I was struggling to pass my Spanish class but working with Teddy raised my confidence and grades (to A’s and B’s). He is patient, engaging, and has a great ability to help me understand speaking, reading, and writing the language. When booking a session, he is flexible in meeting at my house, a coffee shop, or online.

Solid job.
Theodore comes to the student's house, which for me is a sine qua non. Many teachers promise it, few do. One can teach a language at Starbucks or at a crowded library as much as one can teach the violin there. Ted arrived a little early for the first lesson and was well prepared. His education as interpreter gives him a solid foundation for teaching Spanish. He has a vocabulary that is at least as large as that of some "native speakers" that I have worked with. He corrected my grammatical errors while I was speaking and we ended up practicing conjugations. Ted must have noticed that I needed it! All in all, a productive lesson.
