My love for photography started in my teens when my father gifted me his grandfather's Zeiss Ikon 35 mm camera. I loved this camera and took it on every backpacking trip to the Catskills, Adirondack and Berkshire Mountains. My cameras have traveled with many countries and distant lands. My love for photography started in my teens when my father gifted me his grandfather's Zeiss Ikon 35 mm camera. I loved this camera and took it on every backpacking trip to the Catskills, Adirondack and Berkshire Mountains. My cameras have traveled with many countries and distant lands. Photography was a way that I could share the beauty of the natural world with others.
Later in my life, I had the call to take up my camera again, this time it was the digital age. I wanted to learn more about photography and studied photography through the New York Institute of Photography. I have been schooled in many aspects of photography including portraits, weddings, events, architecture, interiors, advertising and photojournalism. After completing my course I started working as a freelance photographer focusing on Nature and Landscape Photography and Historic Architecture of Connecticut.
I am a passionate about teaching photography. I realize digital photography can be complex and work at taking the complex and distilling it down into something that is enjoyable, fun and easy and practical to learn and use.
I offer classes and lessons on how to use your camera and how to make your camera work for you. I offer classes in the field to teach aspects of shooting in the field such as coastal photography and seascapes, waterfalls and moving water photography, Sunsets and sunrise photography, pets, portraits etc.
I am also an Adobe Lightroom teacher and teach many aspects of the different modules in Lightroom.
