Graduate of University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Sport Management; Graduate of Quinnipiac University with a M.S. in Public Relations and minor in Social Media Management.

I teach High School level Intro to Health & Fitness for an on-campus High School program and regularly hold workshops for students and staff about how to properly fuel your body with proper diet and nutrition.

Along with teaching in the classroom, I also serve as a martial arts coach to a student club on campus as well as at the school in which I have earned a black belt. In my spare time I coach youth teams and athletes in speed mechanics and functional movement to help them with efficiency of movement, while also helping with meal plans for my athletes.

I am looking to use my experience and knowledge to help guide the next generation of trainers to get certified and continue keeping the nation healthy!

As an ACE Certified Personal Trainer I have taken the necessary courses to build personalized workout plans for clients based on age, goals, special interests, prior experience, level of fitness, etc. I have gained first hand experience in coaching small group, one-on-one, and bootcamps sessions as a trainer and gym manager, as well as taking myself through my own personalized workouts and diet plans so as to experience different aspects and styles of fitness. I stay up to date on my certification which requires continuing education every two years to ensure that I am up to date on current and best practices throughout the industry.

In addition to coaching at the high school level, I played the game from the ages of 8-18 at various levels and positions. My past experiences as an equipment manager had me working at all levels of the game, from high school to the NFL, where I got unique insight as to the specific drills that a position goes through and what coaches are looking for in terms of movement and body mechanics. As a trainer and gym manager, the majority of clients I coached were football players form the youth to collegiate level. A huge part of this training was working on sport and position specific movements where we break it down in a controlled gym setting and adding outside elements to improve speed, body mechanics, and efficiency of movement.

Boxing: Over 10 years experience in the ring and 5 years of coaching experience. I have one amateur fight under my belt in which I lead my own training camp made up of skills training, strength and conditioning, and diet and nutrition for cutting weight. Budo Taijutsu: A traditional Japanese Martial Art in which I have earned a black belt over 10 years. I teach children and adult classes at my school. As part of my Personal Trainer Certification, I have recieved mentorship from one of the top Combat Sports Trainers in the world on things such as proper strength and conditioning based around sport demand, functional movement patterns and biomechanics for sport specific movements, and proper diet and nutrition for an athlete to cut weight properly.

As we know, you cannot outrun a bad diet. As part of my continuing education, I took a nutrition specialist course so as to better understand how our food is broken down in the body, and what these nutrients get broken down into. I took this route to better understand the body and how what we eat can serve to fuel us or break us down from the inside. While I am not certified to give personalized diet plans, I regularly hold workshops to share the basic information about diet and nutrition to better help clients and students understand what food can do for us and give them the proper tools to make informed decisions.
