Hello, I’m Heather!
I am a bilingual Korean and English tutor with over 20 years of teaching experience. I was born and raised in South Korea and studied English in British Columbia, Canada, for three years starting in 1997. After returning to Korea, I taught ESL to students ranging from ages 2 to 18 at various language schools. In 2003, I earned my ESL/TESOL certification while living in Victoria, Canada. I later moved to Michigan, where I taught Business Korean to local companies.

I viewed Korean as quite a daunting task, but only after the few first classes with Miss Heather I became more confident and achieved a higher level in areas I struggled with. Great introduction to learning the alphabet, vocabulary, and recognizing formal and informal greetings. She was very patient and understanding throughout the whole session. I look forward to learning more Hangul in the next upcoming sessions.

She started off by reviewing what I already know. She has a structure that is really easy to follow along with that makes it just exciting to learn. I was just so comfortable with her and I could really tell she just enjoyed herself and we just had so much fun. I feel like I have known her forever!
