Hi! My name is Juliana, and I am currently a Chemical Engineering and Spanish major at the University of Connecticut with my Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. I also have research experience in a university laboratory setting, which strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Before transferring to UConn, I was a Dean’s List student and Division I rower at the College of the Holy Cross with a strong background in math, chemistry, Spanish, and time management. In addition, I was a top scholar at my high school, earning 4’s and 5’s on nine AP exams. Through both academics and athletics, I’ve developed patience, communication skills, and the ability to help students build confidence in challenging subjects.
I offer tutoring for middle school through high school students in Algebra, Chemistry, Spanish, SAT Prep, and general homework support. I also help with study skills, organization, presentations, and test preparation. My goal is not only to help students improve grades, but also to help them truly understand the material and feel more confident in class.
Throughout high school, I volunteered as the COO of a nonprofit tutoring organization called Smart-Cure, which supported students academically while raising awareness and funding for Crohn’s and Colitis research. I strive to make sessions supportive, engaging, and personalized to each student’s learning style. Whether a student needs help preparing for a test, completing homework, or strengthening foundational concepts, I adapt lessons to focus on what will help them most.
I am reliable, easy to reach, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions. I offer both in-person and virtual tutoring sessions and try to keep scheduling flexible for families and students, though I do require at least 2 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss scheduling a lesson!
