I am a 23 year old recent graduate from UConn with a Bachelor's in Human Development and Molecular and Cell Biology. I've always loved the subject of biology and the human body and it still fascinates me to this day. In the past, I've worked as a medical scribe in vascular surgery, a phlebotomist, a certified nurse's aid, a histotechnologist at LabCorp, and have tutored Biology I with lab at UConn.
I now work as a clinical technologist at Yale School of Medicine: Section of Nephrology. I do intend on attending grad school in the next few years but only after buckling down a few years of professional work under my belt. I'm available any night of any day and am trying hard to pay off my student loans as quick as can be. Therefore, I figured I'd earn it through a side job I love!
My main message to struggling students is to not fear asking for extra help...you are only hurting yourself in the long run. I myself needed tutoring in chemistry as a freshman and ever since, I see science completely differently. Therefore, I've been in your shoes and on both sides. Don't be afraid to reach out!
