I am a certified high school science teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching Biology, Biotechnology, Forensics, and independent research programs in science and engineering. I hold a B.S. in Biology and a Master’s degree in Biology and Environmental Science with a concentration in Molecular Biology. In addition to my classroom work, I have professional laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry, have developed several science curricula aligned with NGSS standards, and am a state department of education curriculum fellow. I have 10 years of experience as a school administrator and am currently enrolled in a doctoral program in school leadership.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of students, from those building foundational skills to advanced learners conducting independent research. I mentor students through experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, and presentation preparation. I also support students preparing for exams, strengthening lab reports, and developing confidence with complex scientific concepts. My experience includes teaching fellowships and educational work in China, India, Japan, Panama, and South Korea, which has strengthened my ability to work with students from diverse academic backgrounds. In addition to STEM, I have an interest in and expertise in a wide range of topics and taught high school Math, English, Social Studies, and art and music classes when I was an administrator at an Alternative high school.
