From there I went on to work for several different financial institutions, including banking and stock brokerage firms. I left that field to get a secondary math certification so I could teach high school math.

Hi! I'm Laurel. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with at concentration in Finance. From there I went on to work for several different financial institutions, including banking and stock brokerage firms. I left that field to get a secondary math certification so I could teach high school math.
From there I taught high school math for the next 15 years, teaching a wide range of math subjects. I have taught and/or tutored almost every level of math from Pre-Algebra up to AP Calculus. Additionally, I worked as a part-time adjunct teacher at one university and two community colleges helping college students get to the next level. I have also worked with students to improve scores on the SAT.
No longer teaching, I am looking to help students at most levels achieve their math goals, whether they want to improve scores on standardized tests, practice for the AP Calculus Exam, or just improve their grades and math understanding.
