I teach the college-bound with as much care as struggling students. In 28 years of professional experience, I have worked with high school, college, and graduate students. Early in my teaching career, I realized that I enjoy teaching the research and writing process. My instructional goal is to help you become a stronger student; after we work through the research paper writing process, you will be able to write the next paper needing less support and less time.

Over the years, I have honed my experience and expertise working with LD, ADHD, and ELL students while developing college readiness. I believe that every student can learn, and I'm ready to help you find strategies that will work throughout your lifetime. As a mother of a child with significant learning disabilities, I understand the frustration created by the neurotypical classroom. We will work together to build confidence and skill.
I would also like to help you with your word processing (Google Sheets & Microsoft Word) and slide show presentations (Google Slides and PowerPoint). These skills are not always taught directly in schools, and you may find that a short lesson can make all the difference. I am New York State Certified in Secondary English Education and am ready to support your success in the NYS English Regents and the AP Language and Composition course.
