Hi everyone! My name is Graham and I am an incoming MPhil student at Cambridge with a BA with Distinction in English from Yale University. Originally from Connecticut, I've been passionate about the humanities, essay-writing, and a liberal arts education since my early teens. I have experience tutoring middle- and high-school students through my in-person work with the weekly East Record program with Laura Pappano (and later the Yale Splash program) and have also been involved with volunteer mentoring as an affiliate in the Yale UNICEF program.
While my expertise lies mainly in reading Old, Middle, and modern English, I also have extensive experience conducting archival research, working with historical texts (mainly from late antiquity and the medieval period), coaching essay-writing, conducting exam preparation, and learning languages — with proficiency in Classical and Medieval Latin, Old English, French, and German, as well as professional ability in Mandarin Chinese. Some of my hobbies include embroidery cooking, and reading!
I'm open to tutoring all ages and backgrounds but mainly interested in working with high school and undergraduate students! If you have any questions or would love to learn more, please feel free to reach out. I'm very accommodating and appreciate any inquiries.
