I hold a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technologies with a concentration in Cybersecurity. I also earned the Google IT Support Professional Certificate. My education and hands-on technical experience have given me a strong foundation in Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, basic computer troubleshooting, cybersecurity awareness, file management, internet use, and everyday technology support.
My teaching experience has primarily been informal and one-on-one, helping friends, family members, and other adults with computer and technology questions. I have worked with people who have very limited technical experience, including older adults, and I focus on explaining each step in clear, nontechnical language. I provide troubleshooting, instruction, and technology support both remotely and on-site, depending on the learner’s needs. I adjust the pace to the individual, demonstrate tasks, have the student practice them, and repeat or rephrase instructions as needed until they are comfortable completing the task independently.
I am also developing a small personal IT support service focused on helping individuals, seniors, and home users with everyday technology problems, basic computer skills, and computer literacy. As part of that service, I plan to offer beginner-friendly computer literacy instruction in areas such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, email, file organization, internet navigation, smartphone basics, and safe online practices. I understand that many adult learners, especially seniors or people with limited exposure to technology, may feel hesitant or embarrassed to ask basic questions. My approach is patient, supportive, and judgment-free. I encourage questions, avoid unnecessary technical jargon, and focus on helping students understand why something works rather than simply memorizing steps.
