I am a recently retired special education teacher with thirty years teaching experience in a public elementary school. I hold degrees from three universities, including a Masters plus 30 in special education. In addition to working with special needs students, I have extensive experience editing and proofreading, both for a company dealing with dissertations and other scholarly papers, and independently with high school and college students. I had also become a valued editor/proofreader assisting co-workers and supervisory personnel in producing professional sounding reports.
It is on the area of editing and proofreading that I wish to concentrate. I would greatly enjoy teaching students how to polish their writing so as to make it more coherent, interesting, and grammatically and syntactically correct. I am willing to be flexible with scheduling, and I ask for a reciprocal 24-hour cancellation policy in the event that I or a student might be unable to meet. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet with students.
