I hold a math degree from McGill University and an engineering degree from Stanford University. I obtained a doctoral degree in education to study the factors that impact math success to help students reach their fullest potential in math achievement. My research focuses on math attainment and persistence among high school and college students, and the participation of women in STEM careers.

After teaching thousands of hours and researching math learning, I have learned the factors that impact a student’s math achievement and experienced these first-hand. When a student is having a challenge, I recognize the root of their struggle. Sometimes it is a gap in skill and knowledge, other times it is anxiety. I believe math instruction goes beyond attaining goals, and attend to the whole student, delivering instruction in a caring and supportive environment.

I have tutored hundreds of students in geometry and have expert knowledge of the subject. I am patient and understand how to help students achieve mastery in geometry.
