Hi! My name is Tonianne, and I am a certified third-grade teacher in Connecticut with a passion for helping students become confident, successful learners. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with minors in Language and Literature. I also hold a master's degree in Reading (K–12) and am currently pursuing my sixth-year degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My educational background has given me a strong foundation in literacy instruction, curriculum development, and differentiated teaching strategies that support students with a variety of learning needs.

I have several years of experience teaching in an elementary classroom and tutoring students in one-on-one settings. I primarily work with elementary-aged students, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and foundational math skills. As a classroom teacher, I use research-based instructional practices, data-driven decision-making, and engaging, individualized lessons to meet each student's unique needs. During tutoring sessions, I focus on building students' confidence while creating personalized learning experiences that make challenging concepts easier to understand.

Throughout my tutoring experience, I have been fortunate to see students make significant academic growth and gain confidence in their abilities. Whether I am helping a struggling reader improve fluency, supporting a student with homework, or providing enrichment for advanced learners, my goal is always to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. I am excited to expand my tutoring services online and look forward to helping even more students achieve their academic goals!
