Hi everyone! I was a special education teacher for about 10 years. I recently transitioned to the educational technology field and now I am working with special education data systems throughout the Northeast. During my time as a special educator, I received training in a variety of multisensory teaching techniques that allowed me to meet the needs of learners from all backgrounds. I’m most passionate about supporting learners who need to build their skillset, confidence, and love of learning.

During my teaching tenure, I became certified not only in special education k-12, but also as a school administrator. While this isn’t the path I ultimately chose for myself, it helped me to become better rounded in my outlook of supports for students and how to best meet their needs. I’ve received training in Lindamood-Bell, including Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing. I’ve also been trained in the Wilson Reading System.

Despite no longer being in the classroom, my new career path allows me to support a larger population of students with disabilities and to ensure we have data tracking systems in place to track IEP goals and services with fidelity. I must admit though, I miss being around students and having the opportunity to teach. I’m looking forward to working with your family and helping your child meet their greatest potential!
