I enjoy seeing young professionals achieve their goals in the financial services industry. I live in Connecticut and am now semi-retired after 25+ years in the financial services industry. I have a BS in Management and a Minor in Accounting from Providence College, and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.

My teaching style focuses on understanding your background, previous studies in finance, professional goals, and how you learn. For FINRA exam prep, I target the units that are the most challenging and, in understanding the fundamentals of a topic, how it relates to real-world practices, including capital markets and portfolio management. I am energetic and enjoy seeing students succeed and achieve their professional goals.

I held the FINRA Series 7, 6, 24, 65, and 4 in management roles with broker/dealers (Fidelity, DE Shaw/FarSight Financial) and wealth managers (Athena Capital, Windrose Advisors). I managed broker/dealer & RIA operations, trading, compliance, and client services. I have an excellent understanding of investments across all asset classes, including hedge funds, PE/V,C and other alternative investments.

I also work with HS students on their college essays & supplemental questions, and young adults develop their securities industry and wealth management careers.

I have been part of investment firm startups and Fintech startups, including Athena Capital Advisors, Arrakis for JP Morgan, and FarSight Financial for DE Shaw & Co. I was a Real Estate agent for 2 years recently with Houlihan Lawrence Wareck D'Ostilio in Southeastern CT.

I have worked with young adults on college applications for years, and I have helped college grads with their career dev including resumes.

I am a licensed FINRA Series 65 for 15 years. 25 years in the Investment operations world with Fidelity, DE Shaw, Athena Capital Advisors and Windrose Advisors. Previously also held the Series 7, 24 (General Securities Principal) and 4 (Options Principal securities licenses).

I held the Series 65 license for over 15 years in my operations/trading/ client service management roles at Athena Capital Advisors and Windrose Advisors. I have successfully tutored many candidates for the Series 7 and 65 exams both on Wyzant and professionally during my career. I use practice questions to teach concepts, test taking techniques - and leverage real world examples for easier learning.

I held the Series 65, 63 (66 covers the 65 and 63 now), 7, 24, and 4 during my 25 years in management roles in the investment industry with Fidelity, JP Morgan, and two multi-family offices. I have tutored for the FINRA exams, including recent work with two 65 candidates and finished working with a 66 candidate recently who I spent weeks preparing and passing the Series 7, and then passing the 66.

I have tutored successfully for the Series 7 for over eight years. I have extensive brokerage and investment advisory operations, sales and management experience. I was FINRA Series 65 licensed, as well as being previously Series 7, 24 (General Securities Principal), and 4 (Options Principal) licensed. I worked in B/D operations and RIA operations, and have managed securities trading for different firms. My approach is to concentrate on concepts the student needs the most help with, discuss real-life examples of concepts and use multiple learning resources other than the study manual to ensure success.

Second meeting

This was my second tutoring session with Kenn, and he’s been super helpful. Both times we started by checking in on where I’m at in the unit, and we figured out during our first meeting that the best way for me to learn is to go through quizzes together. Kenn walks me through the questions. I’m stuck on and explains things in a way that actually makes sense using real life scenarios. I’m studying for the series 65 and the sessions are definitely making a difference!

Down to Earth and personable
