I am a certified Elementary Teacher in the state of CT with 20+ years experience. I love children, teaching and learning. I am very patient and have a great sense of humor. I possess a positive attitude and believe that we all learn something new everyday.

I live in Newtown Connecticut with my husband and three children ages 19 - 24. I have been my children's teacher all of their lives! I can play the flute and piano (when I practice!) and I love to sing. I love to read and I enjoy many different types of books and magazines. I also love to cook (and eat!)

I love to read and teach reading! I have forty-two credits towards earning my Master's Degree in Special Education and have learned a lot about different approaches to teach reading. I have excellent reading, writing and communication skills.

Before I married my husband and moved to Connecticut, I was a full-day Kindergarten Teacher in Queens, New York for eight years. The reading program that I used was phonetically based. I have learned many different methods and approaches to teach phonics through coursework and practical experiences.

I have more than twenty years experience working with Elementary students. I teach a number of different ways to improve spelling and study skills. I differentiate my teaching methods and approaches to fit the needs of each student.
