Hello, I am Tyler. I graduated from my high school as the valedictorian (I am a straight A student) and attending Cornell University as part of the class of 2028. I intend to dual major in mathematics and computer science. I have always had a fascination for mathematics. I enjoy writing proofs and understanding mathematics on a deeper level, such as the reasons why certain formulas and theorems hold true. I primarily tutor any mathematics class in middle school or high school and several science classes (physics, computer science, and chemistry). However, I am open to tutoring other subjects as well. I have received a score of 5 on these APs: Calculus BC, Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Science A, US History, Physics 1, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, English Literature, Psychology, Physics C (both Mechanics and E&M), and Music Theory. I also received a score of 1580 on the SAT (perfect 800 in Math and 780 in English). Additionally, I have participated and scored well in several math competitions, such as my math team, the AMC, the AIME, and I competed on the Connecticut ARML team.

I have been tutoring my fellow high school classmates through my high school for the past year. They are usually one on one, but I have also taught small groups of 2 students. I try to find ways to make the concepts easier to understand to the students, and I show the students why the concepts work to make them truly comprehend the material. I help my students solve a problem by letting them try their own methods to solve the problem, and I provide guidance as they need it to help them fully understand how to answer it. If necessary, I will show my students how to do a couple of problems, and then I will have them do similar problems and ask me if they have any questions.

If anyone has any questions or wants to schedule a lesson, they can message me. I am open to suggestions and modifying lessons if necessary. I am easy to contact and will respond to messages quickly.

Bio exactly as described and more

Tyler is passionate about what he tutors. He is able to explain the concept and fundamental rather than just saying it’s “a formula”. Someone like me who hates Math needed that. I am an adult learner. For his age, he should already be working in Physics for NASA. He is beyond what I’ve experienced in teachers. He is patient, organized, efficient, timely and courteous.
