I am a PhD organic chemist with 25+ years in the human health industry (agricultural). In the final years of my career, however, I would like to turn my attention back to teaching, which I have had the privilege of doing previously and enjoyed very much! With my help, I hope to continue sharing my skills to encourage our future leaders to grow and appreciate chemistry and its important role in this world’s sustainable future.
I have taught Organic Chemistry at the college level for 5 semesters as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University, Purdue extension. There, I also offered tutoring to support both lab courses and lecture assignments. I taught English and Advanced Organic Chemistry to my post-doctoral colleagues at WuXi AppTech while living in Shanghai, China. So I have a different perspective to other tutors. In a later position with Agrimetis LLC, I interactively participated in biweekly remote presentations so I am comfortable with on-line forms of communication.
