Hi there! I’m a recent Computer Science graduate from Binghamton University with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, and I tutor both math and programming. I currently work as a Software Engineer, so I use these skills every day and can show students how the concepts they’re learning are applied in the real world. I’m especially comfortable teaching Python, programming fundamentals, problem-solving, and the math concepts that support them. I enjoy working with students at different levels and adapting my approach to their individual needs.
For the past two years, I’ve taught a hands-on STEM program to K–5 students, and I’ve also mentored younger students through Girls Who Code and the National Society of Black Engineers. I’ve been involved in robotics for about ten years, starting in elementary school and continuing through high school, so I understand what it feels like to struggle with something difficult and eventually figure it out. Through my teaching and mentoring experiences, I’ve learned how to break complicated ideas into smaller, manageable steps and explain them in ways that make sense to each student. Whether working one-on-one or in a group, I’m patient and encouraging, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and having fun while they learn.
