I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University, where I developed a strong academic foundation in biology and the life sciences. During my undergraduate studies, I gained hands-on research and teaching experience that deepened both my subject knowledge and my passion for education. I served as a Peer Academic Coach and Tutor, working closely with undergraduate students to support their learning in a wide range of subjects. In this role, I provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions that focused on improving comprehension, developing effective study strategies, and helping students build confidence in their academic abilities.
In addition to tutoring, I worked as an Apprentice Teacher in the Department of Economics, where I helped facilitate classroom discussions, reviewed assignments, and supported students outside of class. These experiences gave me valuable insight into different teaching styles and reinforced the importance of adapting lessons to fit each student’s individual learning needs.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked with middle school, high school, and college students, tutoring in biology, genetics, chemistry, and general science. My students have come from a variety of academic backgrounds and ability levels, and I take pride in tailoring my teaching methods to meet each one where they are. My approach centers on clarity, patience, and engagement, breaking complex topics into understandable steps, using real-world examples to make lessons relevant, and encouraging students to actively participate in their learning process.
Whether helping a high school student prepare for an exam, guiding a middle schooler through challenging material, or mentoring a college student in study skills, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where every student can thrive. I believe that learning science should be both accessible and enjoyable, and I’m committed to helping my students reach their academic goals with confidence.
