I am a first-year student at Yale College planning to study Political Science & Government. I graduated from a public high school in Connecticut in the top 1% of my class, where I completed a variety of different honors and AP courses and received 10 scores of "5" on 11 different AP exams.
In High School I tutored middle school students privately in Algebra 1 and similar math. I also worked at Mathnasium, where I supported hundreds of different students from all around my community in their math journey. The Mathnasium motto, "we make math make sense," is something I stand by in all my mathematics tutoring. I also volunteered for a nonprofit online tutoring service to help students prepare for the SAT. I received a score of 1550 on this examination and am passionate about helping other students excel on the SAT even if they are not the most confident test takers. A good score on the SAT gives students a very strong foundation to build their applications to top institutions such as Yale.
I am also a decorated vocalist and have filled my free time with singing activities since I was a little kid. I was the first boy in the United States to be presented with the Royal School of Church Music's prestigious Gold Award in 2020, and possibly the only to this day. I have performed sacred music in a variety of venues including St. Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue, New York City, and Westminster Abbey, London.
